Here we show you some photos and a few important notes, in order to represent the assembly of the dials once generalized. The disassembly is not always alike. We deliver nearly all products with a vehicle-specific guidance. The guidance is meant only as example here, in order to see, how simple a dial change can be. There are videos for the assembly here.
Example assembly of deals ( Honda Goldwing GL 1500 )
First you remove the combination instrument. Then they open the plexiglass cover or loosen existing fixing bolts.
The middle dial can be taken, without one the pointers far away. Thus it goes somewhat faster with this model.
If one wants to later possibly against use the dials, it recommends, the original with masking tape or the like against the pointer disassembly against scratching.
If stop pins are present, these must be removed only, so that the pointer in a calibration can oscilate itself. This position at the housing with a pin mark. If no pin is present, one can taken the pointer off simply without marking with the help of two teaspoon.
After taking the pointers off they take the original speedometer deals, by unscrewing the 2 fixing bolts. The plexiglass document remains further in use !
Stick they now 2 small pieces each of the provided adhesive splicing take from the rear up, perferably on not analyzed places. Take protective plastic film off, fix speedometer dial and on the plexiglass document stick.
NAfter the assembly of the new dials they attach the pointers again in the marked position. Pointers over pin position away-turn, to pin imprint and pointers again against the pin run leave. Thus they received your pre-loading again
If no pins are present, pointers with approx. 9 o`clock attaches and against the perceptible notice up to the zero-position under pressure “turns”, until they reach at the same time approx. 1mm distance from lower edge pointer to sureface dial as well as the zero-position..
They should take themselves above all time with such a change, even if with some vehicles everything is settled in a half hour.
If they worked properly, the result can to be seen be able. They should drive possibly as a check to a friend with speed 50 afterwards over examine, which they attached the pointers also in the corred position..
